Exam gloves and household gloves for caregivers: powder-free vinyl gloves in small to extra large, nitrile gloves in medium, and reusable gloves for housework. Brands include Duracore and Ansell. Check the size and box count, and note that exam gloves are final sale.
Both are made without natural rubber latex. Vinyl gloves are looser and suit short, light tasks. Nitrile gloves are usually stretchier and fit closer to the hand. The nitrile listed here is 4.2 mil thick, and the vinyl gloves are non-powdered.
For clinical or infection-control tasks, follow your care provider's or employer's guidance. If you have a latex allergy, check the box label and ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Vinyl exam gloves are listed in small, medium, large and extra large, in boxes of 100. Choose a snug fit that still lets your fingers move. Gloves that are too tight can tear, and gloves that are too loose slip and bunch.
If you are between sizes, a snug glove usually gives a better feel. The title shows the size and count, so check both before you order.
Ansell yellow reusable gloves are for housework and cleaning, not for patient care. Wash and dry them as the label directs, and replace them when torn. Wash your hands after you remove gloves.
Exam glove listings here are marked all sales final and non-returnable, and opened healthcare items cannot be returned. For caregivers, see disposal and odour control for adult briefs and medical supplies.
