What buyers say
+What people like
- Most buyers found it quick and simple to put together.
- Reviewers often call it sturdy and stable, including some who use it for adults of around 200 to 250 pounds.
- The suction feet grip the tub floor, and the holes in the seat let most of the water run back into the tub.
- The backrest can be mounted on either side, which reviewers find handy for left- or right-hand tub layouts.
- Caregivers say it lets someone who cannot step over the tub wall sit down outside the tub and slide across, so they can bathe in the tub again.
−Common complaints
- A recurring complaint is that the backrest wobbles or the bench rattles when it is moved.
- Several buyers found it too big for their tub or bathroom.
- Many reviewers mention water ending up on the floor because the shower curtain cannot close fully around the bench.
- Some long-term users report rust on internal parts or near the feet, with water collecting inside the legs.
!Buying tips
- Measure your tub width, the clearance outside the tub and the bathroom floor space before buying; this bench straddles the tub wall, so it works with a shower curtain rather than sliding glass doors.
- Use a handheld shower, and tuck the curtain between the seat and the backrest (some users cut a slit in the curtain) to cut down on water on the floor.
- Level the legs inside and outside the tub, check the suction feet regularly, retighten the backrest if it loosens, and let the bench drain and dry after use.
